I've been a Cardinals and a Carp fan for a long, long time (originally from the STL area but now live just south of his parents near Prosper, TX) and appreciate his grind in finding himself again. I watched an interview with him a Judge from the recent game they combined for something like 10 RBIs and he was asked about his challenge over the last few years and what the feeling was now. While there is "no crying in baseball" he certainly was overcome with emotion. He could have easily "hung up the cleats" following a successful career with the Cardinals, but he knew he was not yet finished. While I agree I'd rather see his success with another team, I'm more thankful he gets to live his dream a bit longer in the big leagues.

Keep smackin' the ball Carp.

He was one of the more underrated guys in baseball for a period of time. I get the feeling it's more of a Linsanity type of thing but regardless pretty good to see him doing well. He is proof that as long as you can hit you will find yourself in the lineup.

The fact that he was able to turn it around so drastically is extremely encouraging and extremely discouraging at the same time for the Joey Gallo crowd.
