The way I heard it explained, they need a power guy (left handed) that can fill in when needed/pinch hit. They also picked up Kip Wells-pitcher.

Ok well i had not heard about Kip Wells. I was watching a movie. But to me they have enough power as it is they still need more pitching not just one. They should have pursued more options.

I like the idea of having a left handed power guy at that ballpark. Obviously this doesn't matter much, but having pitched there, I found out how the ball really does carry in that ballpark. When on the mound, I felt like there was a steady stream of wind blowing right in my face the whole time. I guess this left handed power guy (for me) is just a better option than an inexperienced pinch hitter.

They should have traded for him before their series with KC last week. He tore them up in the first two games by himself.

Same old Rangers though...no pitching and no moves for good pitching. Why not try for Maddux? I understand they got Millwood and Eaton, but they need more, obviously.

I know I'm being very optimistic, but word is that Kip Wells was dominating his last three starts, all going 6+ innings, and only allowing 1 ER in each. I know it's only 3 games, but the Rangers have to got to get lucky eventually with a pitcher, right????
