Our son Tampa Prep Senior Ryan Santoni has decommitted to FGCU as a preferred walkon and has signed a National Letter of Intent with Loyola University. He also has been accepted to the Loyola University of Fine Arts School and hopes to be an architect someday. This was a tough decision for Ryan, but in the end he looked at the academic opportunities involved as well as the athletics. We are very proud of our son and look forward to watching him mature into a strong student athlete. Well done son, well done.

I would also like to thank all the poster on this womderful site. It was and will continue to be one of the most valuable resoursces for today's student athlete's and their parents. Even though at times we may all not agree I honestly believe that everyone on this site has only the best intentions for our young student athletes and for this I applaud all of you. Smile being a mentor is a responsibility I take seriuosly and by all of your inputs so do you...Thank You

Congratulations Ryno and family.

It's good to see a ball player with such heart and love for the game move to the next level.

If I'm not mistaken this would be the Nawlins Loyola. They seem to be in a time of rebuilding so Ryan should endeavor to show his talents from day 1 in the fall.

Now is the time to release him to grow and stand on his own in his future pursuits. Always be available. Always root from the stands. Always allow him to find his place on the team and trust that the coach has the team's best interest at heart.

I believe he will shine being away from Tampa as so many have before him.
