Hey Beast,
Saying you only spent $8.43 at the Coppell Deli is like Texas Crude saying he only spent $20 at the Chilly Mart!

quote:Poteet sweeps a very good Texarkana Texas High team today with a 4-2 win.
WP - Griffin 10 K's
HR - Young
Also heard that Waxahachie swept Hallsville.
**sarcasm**
That weak 15-4A district still has 2 teams in the playoffs. Probably those weak East Texas teams they've been playing though!

Well J4B, you are right. This cant be a weak district after all.
1.The team that ended Poteet's distiguished record (59-1) is still in it.
2.Poteet keeps on going with apparently only 2 players that are any good, since they're the only ones that ever get recognition from you.
3.And Young comes from who knows where Doe has been hiding him to be your Ace pitcher. He wasn't on varsity last year, I was at all the games. That kid truly needs be recognized by this district, he has had an incredible season. Where is he headed next year?

well now Jewels, you just misunderstand. It aint sour grapes at all, I am truly thrilled that Young is getting recognition for his achievements. He is a great kid and comes from a great family. Just imagine if he had been utilized last year how great he could be?? shoulda woulda coulda, right? I do worry that he and Griffin are pitching 130+ pitches a game and that no other pitchers, as you said, are being used. That kind of wear and tear can't be good on those arms. But, if the parents and coaches arent concerned then I guess it's not a big deal. I dont think state is a one or two game series, so that lack of pitching depth could be a hurdle.
And as far as a team effort, you obviously know the details of the game, occasionally mention someone else, I mean there are 7 other players out there, right? They can't be the only guys making big plays and there is more to the game than pitching, isnt there? For those of us who cant make the games this is a way to stay in the know. It isnt all about your kid all the time (assuming one of these is yours)
Good Luck against Frisco this week, another strong team from a strong district.

It's pretty sad you can't even post a score on here without someone trying to knock ya down. You won't see me post on here for the remainder of the playoffs....
Good Luck to everyone still playing!

It won't matter who they throw. Wakeland can't hit either one of them. Besides Wakeland will get out coached in this game. Bring on Heath. Really want to see that match up.
