Hello everyone,

I may be moving my family and myself to the Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania area.  I have tried to look up information on high schools and have found some information.  Also found a good travel ball facility (so it appears) in that area (formerly Chandler Bats?).  Strictly from a baseball view, what is/are the best schools in that area for baseball.  Also, if there is any awareness of travel teams that would be great.  My son will be an incoming freshman.  We are early in the process, but never hurts to start looking.  Thanks in advance!

This roster will give you one perspective about public and private high school baseball in the area.

Looking at the highest level travel teams, USA Elite Baseball (formerly Chandler) has a good reputation in PA.  Quite a few PA kids also cross the bridge to play for Tri-State Arsenal in Vorhees NJ. Lots of other good teams in the area that aren't as nationally recognized (e.g. GoWags).

Most of the better travel teams in the area play at Diamond Nation in NJ. Try to find tournament results for teams in your son's age group (their web site doesn't make that easy). ECTB runs tournaments in the LV that are more for local teams.

When my son played in ECTB tournaments the fields were mostly below average. Diamond Nation arrived when he was done with ECTB. I've been to the complex for a showcase. It's nice. Diamond Nation has teams that could lead to playing for their Super 17s showcase program. Diamond Nation is owned by MLBer Jack Cust. Lehigh Valley Baseball Academy also has a travel program. Their owners are pro scouts.
