Don't know how everybody will be celebrating New Year's Eve tonight, but I pray for everybody's safety and well being as we say good bye to (a rather annoying) 2006 and hello to (hopefully a much better) 2007. (Can't say that I have ever been so happy to see a year end as this one, tho I know this isn't true for everybody here.)

None of us knows what the new year will bring, and our lives are so involved with those of our children that the way their year goes impacts us very significantly. Of course we all hope the best for each and everyone of them, that they might realize some of their dreams, if not all. When their road takes a twist from what we would desire for them, and we all know that happens, I pray that we can all remain positive and supportive. Our son is already seeing changes in his career path with a planned change in his role as a pitcher, and his dad and I know that we are here to support him as he deals with what is actually a bit of a letdown for him. But the bottom line for us is that we know God has a plan for him and his lovely wife Katie, and that AJ will be used where God needs him the most. If it is out of the bullpen or starting the game on the mound, if it is in Alabama in April or back to Riverside to finish his degree in September, it doesn't really matter as long as he lives his life in a moral, kind, and gracious way, reflecting his love for his Creator.

May God bless everybody in the coming year, and may His light shine on all your loved ones, as well.

Happy New Year !!

Mary Ann, Thank you for sharing such a beautiful and gracious wish with us all. I couldn't agree more... as a new year begins it's time to take stock of the many blessings we have as well as putting our dreams into perspective. What really matters is our health and well being as well as that of our loved ones. To know that we've raised human beings that give back something to this world besides their baseball talents is the truest of gifts.

May all on the board have their hearts filled with love from family and friends in 2007. May 2007 bring blessings including good health, dreams fulfilled, and spirits that care about their fellow man!
Whoah....

all I can muster out is the measley word " ditto " to all the above.

You gals continue to amaze me and put me in awe.

You are eloquent, and you are kind.
You are wise, witty,
and you are truthful with grace.

Its been a pleasure to have gotten aquainted with all of you this last year and I look forward to a new and even better 2007. What a wild and wacky 2006, its been for some of us.

We have laughed, cried, fumed, and threw things together.
We have hugged, we have rejoyced, and we have given thanks to the heavens above.

Here's to staying positive and having a good outlook on the future ahead! With our continued support of one another, its surely to be a little easier.

Hugzzzzzzzzzzz and Happy New Year!!!
You gals ROCK!!!

Wow. The whole post was beautiful, but I especially agree with the above....

We had about the worst year ever. I mean ever. I pray that 2007 is not just better, but significantly better....it was that bad. I don't think it could get worse. Well, maybe it could.

So as I try to keep my chin up, I am grateful for the blessings we did receive, including my friends on this website. Thank you for being here and there when we needed you the most.

May you and your loved ones receive God's choicest blessings. Happy New Year.

Happy New Year to everyone...I am looking forward to getting to know everyone this year...

2006 was pretty good for us...Jeffrey finished HS and started at Lynchburg College...fall baseball went very well for him and his grades were great too..we are proud of him...I'm sure this Spring will be a chanllenge with the actual baseball season beginning but hopefully he realizes he is capable of playing baseball and doing well academically...JT and I are hopeful for 2007...BTW JT is working on his doctorate and is also doing very well...straight A's so far...

Ya'll take care now!

Mary Clare
