McKinney Marshals 18U Fall Baseball Tryouts

The McKinney Marshals 18U team will hold tryouts on Sunday August 21 and 28th at 6pm at Gabe Nesbitt Field at The Ballfields at Craig Ranch in McKinney. The team will be coached by Lance Alford, who was our asst. coach on our summer team and a current coach at Legacy Christian in Frisco. The cost is $500 per player. The schedule for the fall is as follows:
Sept 10 Northwood NAIA
Sept 17 Weatherford JUCO
Sept 24 DBU D1
Oct 1 Wichita State D1
Oct 8 McLennan JUCO
Oct 15 TBA
Oct 22 TBA
Oct 29 TBA

I am a big fan of junior colleges. JUCO is a route that some overlook... The scholarships are a lil more plentiful than larger schools, your playing time increases, and the competition is great...JMO...

Shayne worked his tail off for the Mustangs. I was sorry to see him go. I felt that he was not as appreciated as he should be. The Marshals are the lucky ones. On a personal note, he was very helpful to my son.

Was it KD that said that Puerto Rico is merging with DBAT?

One word: Closeouts.
Last year's paint job is just fine.

Used to be able to get Easton closeouts for $80-$90. Getting a little harder now, as Easton is really trying to enforce its min. pricing. Still can find them for around $100.

Just a reminder that our final 18U tryout will be this Sunday at 6pm at Gabe Nesbitt field at The Ballfields at Craig Ranch in McKinney. Joining Lance Alford on our staff will be Reds assoc. scout Rene Asprion, who will also double as our fall pitching coach.

For the price ($500), the venues (DFW), and the coaching staff, this is great deal for those players that aspire to play in college...

We are looking for just a couple more college prospects to close out our roster and start playing on 9/10.
