In an effort to steal some marketing thunder from the other clubs, the Marshals will provide a "Farm" report on our clubs to those that are interested. I dont have all the specifics from all the coaches (They are all sleeping in today), but I will tell you what I know...

The 15u Marshals went 4-1 this past weekend at Weatherford College by beating the Patriots, Tigers, Mustangs, Panthers and losing their final game to the FTW Cats. This group is an estimated 7-1 and playing well for Coaches Ferrer, Mize and Self.

The 16U Marshals team went 3-1 this past weekend at Dallas Baptist by beating the Burk Blacksox, FTW Cats twice and losing to the Patriots. It was a steamer down there in the valley at DBU. With their league record, The 16u's are roughly 8-1. Great job by coaches Ostroff, Thomas, and Embry.

The 17u Marshals went 3-2 at Centenary College in Shreveport, La. They played teams from Ark, La, and Etex so it was fun playing new teams. This is a brand new group of kids that are playing together, who I hear are meshing together quite nicely under first year coaches Tovar, Castillo, and Garza. I think they are 5-4 on the season.

Last but certainly not least are the 18U Fightin McKinney Marshals under coaches Postema, Powell, and Asprion. This group had a rough weekend going 1-4 at the Blackhawks spectacular. There are rumors of someone "spiking" our water before each game causing the boys to not play well. I am also blaming the umpires, the stars, the moon , the sun and the field quality, and undercooked hot dogs at each venue... Wink...I think this group is playing at a 5-4 clip as well...

Take care and good luck...

We have had an increase in attendance due to the margarita and beer sales ($3 a pop). Folks are coming out in droves...We had 250 on a Sunday night, which we have never had before. An estimated 350 last thursday and 450 on Friday...

The team is doing ok. We haven't played Coppell, Denton, and WF, which have solid teams. The league is better as more kids are spurning other leagues and staying in Texas. Less kids are going to Alaska and the Northwoods League.

The only weakness league wide is lack of revenue (attendance). The more folks can support the local teams, the longer the league will live...

Sayhey, I beleive in Andy , Dax, Rene, and the Fightin McKinney Marshals 18U team...They will be fine.
