In the next few weeks, I will have the great opportunity to meet a fellow HSBWebber as UKMB comes down our way with her son for a tournament. We are getting together with CatchMm, who I already have known for years. Then when UCR goes to Norman, OK in the spring, I will probably get to meet OUBsbMom. And I would imagine that I will get to meet matadordad when our schools play during conference (and a 2 game non-conference series as well) this year.

So, I got to wondering if any of you have had a chance to meet others from this site ... who, when, etc. Give us all the details ...

C'mon guys ... let me out !!!
I just wanna see a game !!!

We learn a lot from crayons:
some are sharp; some are dull; some are pretty;
some have weird names; all are different colors.
And they all have to learn to live in the same box.

This past spring I met Duke's Mom at a high school All-Star game our sons participated in and they also played on a summer team together this past summer.

This Fall I met TxDad (son plays for OU) on one of our weekend visits to OU Fall practice.

In June of 2001 at the Midwest Prospects Showcase at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, I had the privilege of meeting Bob, our Grand Pooh Bah, Luke Bell (alias Fungo), and I believe I saw a few other websters who were pointed out to me whose names I can't recall (I think Leftydad was one of them).

I am always looking for the opportunity to meet other websters...H-Mom, I will definitely look for you in Norman on March 5-7!

"Dear Pastor, Please say a prayer for our Little League team. We need God's help or a new pitcher. Thank you. Alexander. Age 10"
I met Fungo 2 yrs ago in HS ball. I even went back to watch Josh pitch it was 32 degrees and he was throwing 92. He is one heck of a baseball player.

Bluegrass lives 50 miles from me, but we talk pretty regular about local baseball players.

This past summer I met several hsbbwebsters.
Hoop was the first one, he is one fun guy to chat with. This same weekend Mythreeson's introduced himself to me. I met Gov Tim while he was in Nashville watching a tourney my son's team was in. At the final tourney we played at APSU I had the pleasure of meeting Lexhitmen23, he is a 17 yr old pitcher.

I can't remember all of the people I have met at showcases in the past years. But Bamagrad-tennmom is one that sticks out in my mind b/c she and I still keep in touch via email.

I feel like I know exactly what some of the people on here would look and be like in person and I hope to continue to meet many of you over the years of my son's baseball career.
My goal now is to get to Wichita and meet my dear friend Pitchermom in person and see Noah pitch for WSU.

I will be meeting Sark21 in March in Panama City for a juco tourney. Hope Justin takes it easy on us!!!!

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
Please excuse the intrusion to the Ladies only....

I've had the pleasure of meeting GregG and his wife and watching his son Pat pitch for Air Force. What a great kid with his head definitely screwed on straight.

Am looking forward to meeting mhs26 dad in the future while watching our sons play.

Just a quick update to mention that I had the absolute pleasure of meeting HMom and CatchMom today, when they took time out of their busy holiday schedules to come watch my son's baseball tournament down here in Southern CA. I'm sure watching a HS tournament is a bit different then they are accustomed to these days, but they were great sports nevertheless. HMom even brought along HDad to the game, too! They are both terrific, and what a treat to watch a game with them!!! greenjump greenjump P.S. You should know that CatchMom can carry on a lively conversation and still not miss a bit of the action on the field -- I think she could even name most of the players on my son's team by the end of the game. (BTW, my son was very impressed that 'Mom's internet friends' took the time to stop by). Hope to meet more of you soon.

Has spring training started yet?
I've had the pleasure of meeting several this past year. Amom & son Brandon, Texas2004 & son BK, GoDragonz & son Chris, BigWI & son Kris, OPP & son Zach, Bighit15 & son Eric, Trojanx2 & son Gabe (whom my son played with spring 2003 in HS and is a great mentor & Outfielder currently @ Paris JC, heading to Baylor next fall), Dad0406 & son Monk (with whom my son plays select ball), catcher, Brian Rupe & company, along with several PG folks!

I'm looking forward to meeting many more of yall in the coming years.HsBBWeb is the greatest "neighborhood hangout"!!
UKMB ...

Okay, where did you find the computer? I didn't even have a chance to get on this one till just now ... and you beat me to the punch.

Yesterday was a blast ... glad to know that I am not the only pitcher's mom who can keep pace (verbally) with the baseball dads out there. And not once, fellow HSBWebbers, did I hear UKMB holler her trade phrase at the umpire. She did come up with some NEW phrases that I had never heard before ... but never once yelled "U K M B !!!"

By the way, in case anybody wonders ... IKMB doesn't look a thing like her avatar. And look into this lounge in the future for a surprise from CatchMm, UKMB, and your truly.
