Memorial Day

Amen GWFS. Also, kudos to those serving our great country today!. My hope is that every American could and would fully appreciate what it is to serve ones country.

I give thanks on this day for all of our fallen heros that gave the ultimate sacfifice, their lives, so that I may live free!

Yes Sir. Thank You for your service to all who have served, and do serve to guard our freedoms. A special Thank You to one particular Electrician's Mate who served in the South Pacific from 1942 to 1945. We salute you all.

To all current members of our armed services and our cherished veterans, you have my eternal gratitude.

Thoughts and prayers go out for many blessings to come your way - now and in the future!

Our former pastor's son is in a hospital in Germany after being injured in Afganistan last week. Prayers and thanks to Tony Ward.

These are some of my dad's things. GM2, DE-365. He already had two kids when he joined The Navy in 1943. Three brothers and one sister were also 'in the service' at the same time. The youngest brother had joined The Marines at 17. He was killed at Peleliu. His remains never recovered.

As fate would have it, my dad's ship cruised past that island several times. He knew his brother's body was out there somewhere. There was nothing he could do about it.

Totally. The sacrifice these brave men give to us so we can be free makes really puts things in perspective. God bless the USA.
