My son is a pitcher/cather on our high school team. We thought he had always been a mentally tough player. He is a good 2 strike hitter and can get out of pitching jams. The other day, we were playing a double header, he pitched 3 innings the first game but he was sick and throwing up int he dugout between innings. The second game he caught four innings before being taken out. In the 3rd inning, he started struggling throwing the ball back to the pitcher. Once the ball went to the shortstop, once it went to second. He was thinking everytime he threw it back and if possible he would let the ump throw it back (foul ball). What are your thoughts? He had pitched 6 innings 3 days prior. Have you ever heard of a kid who has caught and pitched all of his life having this problem.
