As mentioned by Next 1 and Jaken13, visualization works wonders when done correctly. The majority of players who learn these techniques are very pleased with the results.

That said, relaxation is very independant. Try different methods and see what works for you. Something that may make you relax may drive me crazy and visa versa.

The key is find what works for you and perfect it.
Here's something interesting: My coach was asking everyone to picture their at-bat. So he asked this one guy, and he's like "I get up there, tap far end of plate, inside corner, get an inside pitch and pulling it down the line for a double." My coach was like, "Why not go for the homer, best in the game?" It was an interesting point about visualizing your at-bat.
