I have a pretty big issue, and I know what I'm doing wrong, but for some reason I can't correct it.

I throw a fastball, and have no problems with it

But my concern is with every other pitch besides my fastball [and cutter]

In the bullpen, i can throw my changeup and get it to break almost 6 inches into a right hander
And I can throw a mediocre [get it over] curve ball.

But as soon as a batter gets in the box, and the catcher calls for those 2 pitches
My arm slot completely changes, and I'm almost [pushing] the ball towards homeplate, rather than throwing the ball.

It is really noticeable, and it pretty much makes me a 1 pitch pitcher, which isn't too good.

I know its mental, but I guess I change my arm slot and force the ball to emphize the break, probably because I don't want the pitch to get hit.

Any ideas?
They would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
D.C.

Edit: And to make matters worse, yesterday in the bullpen I had probably my best changeup ever, but only used it twice because of this problem

1 ended up being high and away [for a strikeout]
and the 2nd was bounced in the dirt

The strikeout was to the #2 batter, and it only fooled him because it was a 10 mph differnce or so

Why don't you want the pitch to be hit.
It' ok if the Batter make's contact with the Ball what was he able to do with the Pitch. (Pop-up, weak grounder to SS, ect.)

Not every batter has to be a K.
Location, and mixing it up.
keeping the batter off balance.

Dh33, whether you are throwing these pitches right where you want them or not, have confidence and keep throwing them. Your first change got a strike out, and your second could have been an effective miss in the dirt. Any time you change speeds, whether it is a strike or not, gives the hitter something more think about. One thing that I tell my pitchers is to let the ball curve, don't try to make it curve. If you try to make the ball curve you will change things and it will hang or not do much at all. Trust yourself and throw the ball and let it happen. You will be surprised that when you relax and throw the ball with a good follow through, that the pitch will be much more effective. And like I said, even if it isn't perfect, keep mixing in those off-speed pitches to keep them off stride. You will see your pitches get better and better the more you use them. Good luck.
