Not restricted to Michigan, but usually if you go to the school website....not the athletic one......and use the directory which is there someplace you can search using the last names of any staff member and it will come up with a telephone book type listing that gives their extension as well as their office location. Also email is usually given as well.
The Coaches at Michigan are 1st class....if you are interested in that school go to one of their (many) camps....you will get an honest and fair look there.
Just email the Coach who is listed and tell him the camp you will be attending and you will be evaluated.
Michigan attends most all PG events and they work very hard. Most recently they were at PG events in California and in Florida. They will be in Georgia this month. They travel all over to find talent. They attend the PG NE Showcase, the Midwest Showcase, South Showcase, etc. and WWBA Jupiter and other events every year all over the country.
They have one of the best coaching staffs in college baseball. They recruit lots of home state players, but also recruit nation wide. However, they have conference recruiting restrictions being in the Big Ten. This can be good for those they recruit because the Big Ten does not allow over recruiting. This makes it hard to replace a high level recruit that is lost to the draft or other unexpected late changes in the following year roster.
The Michigan coach is at Stanford right now at the Stanford camp. He was timing 60's the first day and I saw him in the stands watching games at Sunken Diamond.
I have had the good fortune of the meeting the Michigan coaches. Last year, the head coach saw one of our players at the Sunshine West and liked him quite a bit. He didn't have the need for him but he call another college because they had a need for such a player. I thought that a was great thing to do. I meet coach Husted at this years PG Sunshine West and was great to talk with.
I must say that Coach Maloney one of the nicest and most sincere guys we dealt with. He was a gentleman, direct in answering questions and very concerned with academics. I was impressed with the program, the school and the coaching staff. If you can stand playing in the cold weather, can't do much better in a program IMHO.
I don't think the weather issue is as big of a deal at a school with the travel budget of Michigan. You are going to play in Fl/CA/AZ the 1st month of the season and when the weather does turn in Ann Arbor....what a stadium!
