Dbat Sharp so great, they don't even have to show up at opening day ceremonies with a full team...

Congrats to the DBAT Mustang - Sharp team.
Jack Sharp is greatness. When told earlier this year that popular opinion was that his team was the best 16-year-old team in the country his response was... "how can anyone know that?"
Classic Jack Sharp. Congrats Coach.
I'm a huge DBAT guy so Congrats to DBAT Sharp. Jack is a great guy, and I've seen his team play over 15 games this year. They are good, but not great so I'd be careful when you say top 16U team in the country. They didn't make it out of pool play at the premier world series, or the 16U PG WWBA championship.
I've said this before, but there are several other position players that are on other dbat teams that are better than some on this team (~8-10 players spread out on other teams). DBAT, when they combine there teams next year, they will have a legit top 5 team in the nation which is extremely tough to do, not just top 5 in the connie mack or mm leauges. I'll say this again, Congrats to Dbat sharp, but lets be careful about crowning top 16U in the nation team.
I think you missed Natural's point...
But in regards to your Premeir and PG World Series...some coaches take their teams to those events strictly to showcase.
Example...each pitcher gets 2 innings to make sure the whole staff is seen. Each position guy gets so many AB's. Doing it this way doesn't put winning as primary importance.
Hard to tell mom that her son didn't get to pitch after spending $2000 on a so called World Series.
Congrats to the entire 16U DBAT Sharp ballclub.
Any 16U or 18U AABC World Series is well earned.

Excellent point!!!
I saw Sharp's team play several times this summer (played against them 6 times) and I have no idea who the best team in the country is or who would possibly claim something like that. I will tell you that this is one of the better 16U teams that I have seen, I was impressed all year with how mature, business like and how hard they play the game.
Congratulations on an outstanding summer DBAT Sharp! MMWS Champs 2011!
Once again so all can understand...I am not, nor is anyone, proclaiming DBAT Sharp is best 16 year old team in the country. I was merely relating a conversation with Coach Sharp and his response to the comment someone else had made about his team as I found it funny and typical of the wisdom of Jack Sharp. He was the first to question that assertion by saying..."how can anyone know that?!?"
Everybody get it now? geez...

Just for the record. We won our pool at PG @ East Cobb. We won the 1st 2 pools in Lubbock at the premiere. But who cares. We all agree Jack is greatness!
Congrats to the DBAT team, plus a shout out to the So Cal Bombers who went a long way and played in conditions that they are not use to and had a great series.
My son plays on the 18U team and the Bombers are a no frills, hard core baseball organization that does not pretend to be the best of anything other than give you a hard nosed game no matter who they are facing. I am not sure if I know any of the 16U kids but if they certainly holding up the 18U's tradition of excellence on the field. Nice job guys!

BOF, from everything I saw and heard, as well as the info I got from my umpires, the So Cal Bombers were a class act. These young men represented their organization and their parents well. As I told the team on Sunday after the tough loss, they have no reason to hang their heads.
After one of Gideon's bombs against the SoCal Bombers on Friday night, the catcher turned to the umpire and said "What do they feed these guys down here?!?!?!?"

"Congrats DBAT Sharp on the 8 inning 5-4 Championship victory. Well played.
