Howard,

The Broncos are playing very inconsistently.
One day it is the defense.
The next it may be (and often has been) the hitting.
The pitching has been pretty solid but needs to be better. Of late, some talented kids have been producing...Golek, Conroy, and new starter at 3b, Grabowski have done well and when Hall and Zeisloft (who both started out red hot) round back into form the offense will be strong.

Only one conference loss wasn't a close game.

It may be too late for conference, but they could still be spoilers and then make a solid playoff run.

It is one of those situations where they may not have a great record (11-11) but you may not want to have to get past them in the playoffs. The talent is there and when it clicks the Broncos will be tough.
was on the road scouting yesterday, but looks like barrington upset 'burg...did the saxons throw their #1 or #2 ? sounds like whomever threw for the broncs was spot on..what's going on with conroy ? we had our eyes on him, but i keep hearing that he has 25 errors this season..what gives ?

The statement above is untrue and against our forum rules, and would typically be removed. But since so many members took the time to clarify below that the player named is an excellent player, I will let it stand while checking in with the player's parent.

howard porter, we do not allow bashing of youth and high school players on this site! Please be more careful to follow the Board Manners, or your posting privileges may be revoked.

Howard; What a BUSH thing to say about a kid, even if it were true! I saw the game yesterday,Conroy Stood out defensivly. Made a great play toward the foul line, showed quick hands, has a shortstop's arm,is one of the best second baseman I have seen this year. What is behind your statement, you have a son who is a sophmore second baseman at Barrington???? If you saw the game why not comment on his Triple to the right centerfield wall????? or his great play at second???? YOUR BUSH!!!!
Howard Porter....

I can't ever agree with ripping on a kid like that at all. In this case it is ridiculous. Tim Conroy has been playing great baseball, at the plate and in the field.

I have 3 Barrington Every Day Players All-Conference: Conroy at 2b, Golek C and Dain Hall as among the best (if not the best) hitting SS in the State.
Regarding the Schaumburg/Barrington game yesterday - Barrington came to play and Schaumburg didn't, plain and simple. Well done all the way around for the Barrington team - hitting, fielding and pitching. Schaumburg couldn't get the bats going - maybe if we had about 7 more innings!

And regarding who they used to pitch - it was their #3 pitcher with #2 coming in at the end. Not in time.

Oh well, tomorrow is another day!!
Howard,

I'll be your Huckleberry...(love that line)

I am going to assume that you are a kid , if you are an adult please seek help asap.

I see your scouting abilty may need a little adjusting..

Tim Conroy is one of the hardest working HS kids that I have been associated with. He works hard in the class room and he works hard on his athletics as well.

Not to make any excuses for errors but I assure you 7 is not 25. The thing about Timmy is if he indeed is in a small rut in the feild, he is getting his extra ground balls to make it better. Thats what good players do. Thats the kind of player he is.

I had the oppurtunity to play along side hundreds and hundreds of players in my day, and I wish Tim Conroy could have been one. He is what a teammate should be.

Howard, you meant Coward.
