At least I provided a reason to question the paper rather than a condescending, "that was a stupid question" type response. Now that NoVA says it's relevant without explaining why we'll just believe him since he must be an expert. NoVA, thank you for joining the board and giving me an expert to believe in.

No it wouldn't.

His first point is that hitters swing "ultralight" metal bats. I think that hasnt really applied since -5 bats. Especially irrelevant now that bbcor is here. Hitters don't swing in a different manner to take advantage of bbcor v. Wood.
There are some relavent things here.

Read the article, it is more about how to hit the ball effectively with newer bats than it is complaining about how bats are juiced.

The article is based on the change to -3 drop bats but the concept is still sound, especially now that the BBCOR standard has made the idea of rotational hitting even more important.

I didn't state there wasn't some information of value in the article. But the article was not posted as the value of the rotational swing. It was posted as aluminum versus wood where it has lost it's value with BBCOR bats. I try to stick with the subject as it's posted.
