I don't know what you consider a well-supported summer team but out of the teams you named Chillicothe is the only one with a fan base. I played there this summer and Beatrice and Clarinda had under 50 fans at all of their games. Also all three of these places are in the middle of nowhere.
Junction City probably didn't get in because of the fact that they have no need to, as well as the fact that they typically only play home games.
I would consider the fact that Clarinda has had a team since 1959 to be one measure of how well they are supported. The A's have a long list of MLB alums, including Ozzie Smith (who happens to support the A's). Nowhere may not mean much to you Weaver, but it does to the good folks in Clarinda.
Beatrice has been the class of the MINK for the past couple seasons, and Coach Steinkamp seems to have no problem attracting players from top schools like Texas, Nebraska, and A&M to play for him each year. Maybe it's just all about playing baseball. I think Midwest summer baseball is awesome.

I am not sure what you mean by Nowhere may not mean much to you?
And yes the A's have been around for awhile, but fanbase wise, they are not well-supported, which is why I asked what you meant by well-supported. If you meant longevity of a program when you said well-supported, then yes you would be correct.
