That was a classic.

An amazing game. Either team could have won that game and either team would have deserved to win that game. I just saw/heard the last 4 innings or so and WOW!

WOW, what a game! Baseball contiues to be the best game ever despite MLB.

WHY, WHY, WHY, would MLB schedule the winner of todays game w NY tomorrow? I don't want to hear about TV this or that, competetive fairness should rule the day and there is no reason Boston v LA doesn't start tomorrow. Ridiculous! MLB continues to run this game into the ground, I can't wait to watch the first 3 innings of every World Series Game before bed time!

From what I've read on another website, the MLB let the Yankees choose when the first game of the series was played. If that's true, then the Yankees would be stupid to not make the opponent play the very next day especially seeing as this game went 12 innings...

Porcello proved he can pitch at this level so young and in crunch time. He's only gonna get better. Other than a couple costly mistakes (wild pickoff attempt and the HR), he was dominating

Vikings had the stadium and the Yankees with the best record got to choose the series. MLB did nothing wrong. Maybe the Twins or Tigers shoulda clinched after 162, Yankees did the right thing, They'd be crazy not to make one of the teams fly to NY for a game less than 24 hrs later.

One inning Gardenhire used 4 pitchers and the Tigers did not score... he was pulling levers and switches and looked like a genius!

I figured the game was on TV but it took me awhile to find it. It did not show up in any of the digital cable listings since it was an unplanned event. Finally, I saw a little blurb on ESPN ticker that it was on TBS. After all the hard work, I thought I would pass the information on here in this thread.

Ron Darling is AWFUL!!!!

I'm not looking forward to the announcers for the playoffs...TBS is a mish mash of people and the Fox crew is horrible..McCarver lost his fastball about 3 years ago!!

I actually like Darling. He was spot on with his analysis at several key points in the game. He practically called the Orlando Cabrera HR just before the pitch.

Now McCarver, him I could do without.
