I'm sorry to ask a dumb question but why are there MORE banned substances on the Minor League list than the Majors? Why aren't they the same? And what substances are on the list (besides the obvious steroids)? I read that the MLB guy swears he doesn't do steroids - only milkshakes and vitamins. I plead ignorance because I'm really not educated on all this.

The "explanation"... he was trying to loose weight, purchased something over the counter at a nutrition store.
I find it hard to beleive that any of these guys don't know what substances are in the products, or that they are unaware of the "list" of banned substances. It's been published. Amphetinines are excluded from MLB, but included in Minor Leagues & NCAA.
