We were approached today by a MLB scout, who requested our son to complete the Personal/Medical form and Player Info card. After we send this back to the scouting supervisor, should we follow up with a fall schedule?

Will we hear from this team, or other teams concerning tryouts?

This is really exciting and we are truly newbies to all this.He is a 2011, and we really haven't heard from any schools yet. We were at a 3 day showcase this weekend, he played extremely well, and ran a 6.95 in the 60yd, this is of course what he has dreamed of. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Was it a MLB Team scout or a MLB Scouting Bureau Scout ?

Momof1B, I wouldn't take too much credence with these questionnaires. Our son was sent by mail several requests, he filled them out, never heard or saw them again.

The real deal is when agents start offering their services, like Scott Bores. Then your son has hit the MLB Jackpot.
