Is anyone familiar with this? Had a friend who’s son was invited to one of the regional events and he is trying to figure out if it’s worth going or not. He asked his travel coach and his travel coach didn’t give a rave review about, but he knows to take that feedback with a grain of salt. One interesting thing I noticed when looking online is that all the kids who have gone to the previous events this year are 2021’s and 2022’s. My friends son is a 2023.

They are legit. There will be a lot of scouts. If he’s interested in being drafted, it’s worth going. Being that young he’s just going to be in the radar. We went when my son was in the fall of junior year. The scouts were all talking and occasionally looking up as the 50-70 kids did bp. Until one kid came up and it was all business. Video cameras and quiet. I think he hit out 7 of 9. He was drafted first round that summer. We ended up going to a few. Good experience and gets them used to the stress.
How did your friend get invited? A local scout got a player in that my kid knows.
We are going in June for the 3 day try-out. My son got an invite last year, but Covid messed it up. I'll try to remember to respond after and report on his experience with the event.
