I've heard it all now.

A 16 year old withheld from a MMWS skills competition to protect from injury?

But we send them to thousands of skill evaluations for the "scouts".

To quote the great Alan Iverson........

"Practice? We're talking about Practice?"

Sorry Beast but the Prospects look like the team to beat. IMO. I've never seen anyone put the whoopin' stick to a DBAT team like they did today. They had 8 hits in their first 9 batters. Including 3 doubles and a bomb. Not to mention throwing a 2 hit shutout. Midland looked good in their opener but not nearly as offensively impressive as the Prospects. Midland plays a speed, small-ball, patience at the plate style of ball with a couple of smashers thrown in. The prospects have 9 smashers.

Puerto Rico eliminated by California today.
New Jersey eliminated by Indiana today.

Prospects have the bye

Elimination Round
Patriots (0-1) vs DBAT (1-1) @ 4:00 Friday
California (1-1) vs Indiana (1-1) @ 1:00 Friday

Winners Bracket
Frozen Ropes (2-0) vs Midland (2-0) @ 7:00 Friday

Has there ever been a 2-0 host?
Probably wont be a 3-0 host. Not sure Frozen Ropes has enough to handle Midland. They used about 4 pitchers against the Patriots. Either way best of luck to all the hometown teams.

I also find it a bit ironic that all three teams to qualify for MMWS have indoor facilities???? Wierd, by design or coincidence????

The host team is still alive and kicking. Need another good effort against the prospects to set up an all DFW final.

Great effort all the way around for the Titans. Kindle threw six strong innings. Brandon hit a three run homer, a solo shot and closed it out with three strike outs in the seventh.

Great job by DBat too eliminating the boys in blue pants.

Pushbunter, thanks for writing this. I told the players what I read and I believe it motivated them.

That's one thing that the Maverick bunch has never been able to give us.

PB, You might want to point out "the Maverick Bunch" was slightly constrained by having to have 80% of its players enrolled in McKinney ISD, whereas the Titans are not. That stated, no offense taken, and the Mavericks, though certainly not a Titans-equivalent at least recently (they were apparently pretty stout back in the day), did manage to win a game or two and represent themselves and the city of McKinney quite admirably.

But your point taken, the Titans are an incredibly talented team and it's been fun to watch their run to the title--no fluke, by the way. Hats off to Danny and the boys.
