Nolan lost 9 seniors last year and lost a few good players to transfer (Sean Lewis to Lamar, Grant Rainwater to Southwest and Taylor Harrington to Trinity Valley). They also lost a few good players to grades.

Hopefully they will get some help when basketball season ends, we shall see. They do have a strong sophomore class coming up.

Reggie is being very kind when describing what has happened at Nolan. Nolan is really feeling the effects of the graduation of a certain lefty (now pitching for UTA) who accounted for 11 of Nolan's twelve wins in 2007!

The pitcher is Mark Picca, a true freshman who throws with some pop and also has a big league curveball. Mark will see a lot of time on the mound for the Mavs this year and this is what the coaches had to say about the big lefty:

Mark Picca- lhp from Nolan Catholic HS - had a tremendous fall. Showed the ability to throw 3 pitches for a strike. Should be a major contributor this spring!
