Randall,

Maybe we should hire you. Your coming up with more info than we do.

A question:

Maybe I missed it, but which events are you using for those statistics? Reason I ask is we have had LHPs throw over 91 mph many times. In fact, (03)Andrew Miller threw 95 or 96 at our World Showcase in 2003. Several others have thrown better than 91 also.

Anyway, thanks for all the information. Best of luck to your son.
PGStaff,
I must have missed them.
Basically I looked at every showcase in 2003. Just the showcases, nothing else.
I might have missed them because on some of the young men’s reviews, it was ambiguous as to left or right-handed pitchers.
About 95% of the Reviews, it states “LHP” or “RHP”. The ones that simply Read “P” or “Pitcher” I omitted.
You clearly know you have a lot of players, in your system. If I was to attempt to do this again I should be paid. (Laughing)
I hope I haven’t offended ya’ll?
I was interested in the data and it was out there, so I put it together.
Other then those few fastball throwers I missed, is the data somewhat correct?
I visited every showcase and looked at every left-handed pitchers profile, so I might have missed some.
If you need a numbers crunchier give me a call, for the right amount I’ll move mountains. (Laughing)

Randall,

Not offended in the least! Sorry to be so picky. You have done an amazing job. Yes, I have an idea of how many players you had to sift through. Pretty darn impressive. I was laughing too, when I thought about you clicking your way through all that stuff and then compiling all the numbers. When someone asked you for the RHPs list, I had tears in my eyes.

Now you have an idea of what it's like on this end. And people wonder why we make a few mistakes.

Email me, if you're really serious, we might be interested in someone putting together information such as this. It might even be helpful to others who want that kind of information.

Thanks

Randall,

Great job. I am also impressed. I tried to do this for one showcase and gave up.

PGStaff, I for one find this helpful information coupled with your review. The review my son received last year was the best feedback that we have ever received. It added to the review to be able see how my son's rating compared to others in his class for all of your showcases. Just my 2 cents.

Mike.
