Agree. I think the league has actually done a pretty good job of setting up the interesting matchups for inter-league play. NY/NY, Chic/Chic, Dodgers/Angels, battle of Ohio, Bay Series, Houston / Texas, etc.

I don't agree with the notion that it takes away fairness of schedule. In fact, I think it tends to even things out. Most teams play in either a tough or weak division, so their schedule is either heavy or light due to the unbalanced schedules. Throwing in added games against outside-of-division opponents helps.

Also, with 162-game seasons, you need to throw in a little somethin' to break things up and keep things exciting.

However, I don't think there's a perfect solution to the DH/no DH issue. Still worth it. And, it can be entertaining to watch P's try to hit when they never get the chance otherwise.
Not a fan myself. I'll be interested to see this new "balanced" schedule. Anybody know the last time the Cardinals played the Yankees, Red Sox, or Angels in interleague play?

But then the same teams get the "big names" in town year in and year out. The Cardinals have to play the Royals in KC each year. Woohoo. Such excitement there!
