You are opening hips and shoulders too soon. You want to delay opening the hips until footplant with the shoulders opening after hips. To help keep your hips closed, keep your knee (for the lefty) pointed as long as possible to 1st base/1st base this means don't point your stride foot to the target until the very last instance. Keep your glove pointed at your target until footplant to help you keep the shoulders closed then pull your chest to your glove (not glove to chest). Make sure your throwing arm is in cocked position before planting your stride foot or you will drag your arm. About your kick, bring your knee up higher and more to the your center line. Compare your kick to pitchers in the MLB and you will see what I mean.
