Sorry that this dialog took a turn for the worse. It was not my intention when I posted the news 36 hours ago. At the that time, it was only reported that he was out. Reason was not stated.

No matter what, sad for all involved. 

It’s okay to post ad nauseum about 8th graders early commits and national rankings, but God forbid adults actually discuss a current event in the baseball world that is compelling. Your dialogue did not take a turn for the worse, you got a first hand glimpse into the fact that people have varying standards. Personally, I don’t care who or what a coach is banging...just apply the rules that my kid is subject to fairly. We all have bosses who have shagged a piece of tail that maybe didn’t have a marriage certificate attached to it, big deal.

I just have to say I have a hard time grasping the fear & apprehension about an open discussion about some of these things. So what if someone does not agree with your perspective? Let's shut down the forum & trade chili recipes so nobody gets their feelings hurt.... What is wrong with debate? Am I going to cry because Garyme thinks I'm a bad dude? No. But I will offer my perspective & be open to being persuaded if someone makes a good argument that opposes my view.

I have learned more about baseball, particularly youth baseball, since I quit playing at 27 years old than I ever knew because I have tried to be open to new information & other viewpoints from many, including several awesome posters on this site.

So chill out, try not to take it all so serious & have some fun. It is fine to mix it up a bit. It is like sharpening a sword.

Steve A, we agree on this. Hell, I know a current single mom of a HS Jr who slept with his (married) club team coach just to try to influence him to “sell” her knucklehead son to colleges for recruiting. Kid you not, so let’s not kid ourselves, people don’t stop having human urges...they just get better at controlling them or hiding their business.

Rule #1: Everything is paid for in cash

Rule #2: Never accept a receipt for anything, no photos, burner phones only and they never enter a personal vehicles cle or home.

Rule #3: Never use work email, credit cards, etc for anything illicit.

Rule #4: It usually doesn’t end well...

Nothing wrong about an open discussion but it appears the conversation has degenerated with posts becoming more personal and vitriolic.  I think everyone has had their say.  Thread closed.
