My two cents:

Pitcher - I did not see all of them, but the most enjoyable to watch was Ely. I now know what "violent delivery" means. He really cranks it. I do, however, have to agree with JP on the accuracy issue.

Catcher - Rauiri O'Conner. Up quick and fired hard with accuracy.

IF - Ryan Petrulis. Quick hands. Got rid of the ball quick, and fired hard with accuracy. His ceiling is still pretty high. I think John is undershooting his height with 6'2" something... he looks taller. Going to get much bigger and stronger. Nice young man to observe. I would like to have seen him try the catcher spot...I think he could have topped that group as well.

OF-I liked Rob Russell. I could be biased because I know him. One of only a few that did not "Ring the Gong". Really fired the ball.

Brian Porter topped out at 83-84, but no one else had that kind of Uncle Charlie. As a junior he is going to dominate as far as ERA's are concerned. Not to mention he threw 86 consistently and topped at 88 at Stanford last summer. The problem for porter is that he will be forced to catch early and unfortunately often next year. Pitching and catching don't mix but for the good of the team he'll have to.
