I have two different (actually more) email accounts. The one I most often use (on the business cards even) is pgjerry@qwest.net. This is also the account that notifies me I have a PM on this site.

While on the road in Georgia for most of last month I was notified by our office that we had a big snafu with our server. I was then told everything was fixed. This week I returned to the office from the Aflac All American Classic in San Diego. I had several phone messages asking if I received their email.

Today I found out that only the jerry@perfectgame.org email is what I've been getting for almost a month. We did get the problem solved and suddenly I had around 2,000 past emails pop up. I did sort these to a file where I have about 250 that need to be replied to.

Some were thank you types that are always appreciated. And there were some complaints... a few reasonable, a few unreasonable. And there were several notifications of PMs from this site. Thus the mention here.

For those looking for answers please be patient and I will try to get to all of them over the next few days. Julie, I got your nice (as always) email too. But just saw it today!

Once again I apologize and will try to reply as soon as possible. I've just never seen 2,000 emails at one time. Half of them were your standard lower mortgage rates, buy Rolex watches, how to lose weight and buy viagra/Cialas ads. I still haven't figured out how to eliminate that stuff.

Thanks

Jerry,

I shouldn't laugh at a man who just had to filter through 2,000 e-mails and now has 250 to read, but the end of your post did make me chuckle.

Hopefully anyone reading this site realizes that you are always busy but this is an especially hectic time of year for you! As for my e-mail, it didn't need a reply, but I can sympathize with the time it takes to sort through everything and respond to those that do. I usually get 50 to 100 e-mails per day related to this site (not all needing a response of course), so I'm sure there are days when I should be apologizing to people for delayed or missed responses, too.

Take care, and try not to go crazy (crazy) catching up! Big Grin

Julie

I am not quite sure if I am in that demographic just yet to be getting those types of e-mails Big Grin

What are you trying to tell us CD? You're so young that if you had a Rolex you wouldn't be able to tell time.

Woody - not that young Big Grin

I guess still young enough perhaps to not afford a Rolex watch nor have to employ external means to keep my server up and running.

Was attempting to have fun at PG's expense and now have been called out by you and FBM. So much for trying to kid around on the hsbbweb - I guess I just ended up creating bad karma for myself or is that karmagra?

Lucky you CD...you should see the contraption that I use. It substantially is...

* A Shakespeare Ugly Stik® Big Water Rod...

This tough spinning rod is made with the famous Hold-On Honey Process™ and peek-through-handle construction for superior strength and sensitivity. A sensuous and durable foam handle and graphite-reinforced reel seats with stainless steel hoods add durability, protection, and a touch of naugtiness! This spinning and twirling rod has real aluminum oxide guide inserts to prevent abrasion, along with an epoxy coating to protect from 'extra rough' play and extremely tough Carboloy tip tops.

* I've rigged this rod up with Imperial Trolling Wire...

Imperial Stranded Trolling Wire is ideal for late-night trolling. The stranded wire is seven braided strands of ultra-fine wire, giving you a smaller diameter line that has greater flexibility than traditional wire. I always use the 200-yard spool...I can't run as fast or as far as I used to.

* To the line I usually attach a Bechhold Hootchie Mama Fly...

These mermaid-catching favorites are incredibly effective when trolled behind a flasher or dodger. That's right...they work every time! They come rigged with leader, beads and a hook. Each includes a fly head that you glue onto the fly. I like the Green Hornet, or the Disco Mama, and of course the old stand-by...Purple Passion.

* Sometimes, when I'm feeling particularly frisky, I'll rig up the Pro-Troll Sting King with EChip™...

Now you can get the same ionic pulse that downrigger trollers have been using for years with space-age black box technology in a chip so small it actually fits on the lure. The Sting King wobble spoon includes an EChip emitter that duplicates the nerve discharge of a baitfish for the ultimate in attraction. Imagine that! The ceramic crystal ion source within the EChip will never wear out. Thank goodness for that! I have found that the #3 or #4.5 usually does the trick...anything larger is either overkill or downright frightening. As for color...you can't miss with the Mother of Pearl (and I don't mean Minnie!), the Coyote Glow (wild and mangy!), Police Car (so, so powerful), Kevorkian Purple (she'll just wanna' die), Triple X (self-explanatory), and finally...the Army Truck/Glow (for those mermaids that dig a uniform!).

* And of course I always bone up on my reading...specifically the Precision Trolling Book...a must read for trollers!

This book delivers precision trolling techniques that have been tested and monitored using scientific data collection and evaluation. With detailed dive curves for over 150 of the most popular reprobates, and comprehensive instruction on trolling mechanics, Precision Trolling dramatically improves your trolling efficiency. The authors cover trolling with snap weights, super lines, lead-core lines and Dipsy Divers® to give you the edge while on the make. There are also chapters on trolling speed, trolling spreads and the implications of line diameter. If trolling is a part of your nightly routine already and you want to fine tune your approach, or if you're looking to start from scratch, Precision Trolling is an invaluable tool. Front and back covers are treated for water resistance, and the pages are cut from heavy card stock, so you can keep this book on your nightstand or the bed of your truck, where you'll need it most. 152 pages. Written by Dr.Steven 'Don't Holt' Backe, Mark Roman-in-the-sack and Tom Issawillin. The Big Water Edition is a comprehensive guide that covers precise dive depths and diving data for all sizes of the Dipsy Diver®, Slide Diver®, Jet Diver®, Deep Six and Jon Mini Disks. Research was also conducted on the running depths of snap weights, lines of different test, lead core lines, and one pound lead balls. Oh my!

See what you've got to look forward to CD...hang onto that Rolex as long as you can!

And PG...just be glad this didn't arrive as an e-mail!

When ordering from Cabela's Woody, did you get the extra bait box. With the bottle of Asperin, in case the fish has a headache.
I've tried all that extra fishing gear.
But found that the fish was still only good for a short fight.
And could not stand up to the Vigor's of all my extra Lure.
So I've went back to my old method of a slow methodical real them in slowly method. EH
My Chicago Connection has just informed me that Cabela does sell the razor sharp half spear sticks that you can fire from a horizontal bow that is retractable and even retrieves the big fish before netting them Big Grin

What do you want us to do Godfather Jerry?
Just send us a PM and let us know..... Big Grin

Just kidding Woodman, how's the family? The Shepsters send their blessings and best regards.
peace Wood, Shep

PS(Just let me know boss Big Grin )
All is well here Wood, the Mrs has me catching up on lost time in the honeydo list areas of neglect. Number one on list, take me out to a ballgame, I did. We just got in a little while ago.

Didn't realize the Mrs would have withdrawals from our lack of attendance of FL STATE LEAGUE/GCL/SOUTHERN LEAGUE games while I was gone for amatuer events.

She is better now though. A Dodgerdog and ice cream at the game did the trick.

Hope all the siblings are all well up around ChicagoLand. Go White Sox! peace, Shep
