Congratulations! Thank you for sharing and wish you the best of luck!!!
Congrats and good luck at St. Olaf!
Big Congratulations ElitanBaseball...You did it! Maybe 6.5 -7.0% of HS players ever see a NCAA program.( http://www.ncaa.org/about/reso...ng-college-athletics)
Your story is inspiring and thanks for posting it
I wish you the best of luck moving forward.
Now the real work begins
Awesome - congrats!
That's awesome buddy. Big congratulations to you and family.
Congrats elitanbaseball!
Congratulations!!! Coach McDonald is 100% a class act! Great coaching staff, outstanding school, lovely campus. One of the "Colleges That Change Lives". And definitely a hidden gem to be checked out for those outside the upper Midwest.
Great news. keep grinding.
Great story. A big congratulations to you on your efforts and the exciting results! I second what Strainedoblique said... now the real work begins.
"... have been told I am the only second basemen in the class and could see significant playing time my freshman year, which is awesome..."
Even if the above turns out to be true, the worst thing you can do is believe it. If the coaching staff is worth their salt, they will have other solid options at second base (and every other position) and will continue finding more. Maybe you end up being the only second baseman in your class but maybe there are several good ones that are in the classes above you. Assume there are. Assume that, if there are not, then they will have a surplus of shortstops that they can convert to 2b. Assume you will have to work your butt off and compete to earn PT. If you earn some PT in year one, assume they will bring in strong recruits to compete for your PT the following year. The more you prepare yourself to handle a constant wave of new competitive challenges (which you will undoubtedly face), the better you will handle them.
Believe you can, but don't believe it will be handed to you.
Congratulations! Thanks for sharing this -- it is extremely useful info for those of us with 2019 or 2020 sons.
Just cross-checked the D2-D3 ranking post
http://community.hsbaseballweb...49#43389494015769649
St Olaf is ranked 35, higher than Trinity University, which just won the D3 world series!
congratulations! I will most likely be playing in the MIAC as well, cant wait to battle it out the next four years!
Congrats! Thx for sharing the details!

Good post cabbagedad.
The best coaches in the country promise nothing, you have to earn it.
Awesome story. Way to have a plan! Congrats to you and best of luck at St. Olaf's!!
congrats
WOW. GOOD WORK. Great job on a solid academic high school career also. Sounds like you will have a very successful college career. Congrats!!
Nice work and good summary. Could relate to your plays at third and shining when it matters. 2015 (who plays 2B in college) had similar moments when it mattered and an offer was made after the game. Keep working hard!
Thank you for sharing your story. My 2018 just attended his first HF camp and I was very curious how it was working out for a lot of the 2017's position players attending. It definitely looked like the coaches were dialed in on pitchers.
Congratulations with the St. Olaf opportunity!
Great story, and congratulations young man. If you play baseball half as well as you communicate, I think you will be very successful in life.
