There is a time and place for all of your questions. But the reality is "if you don't get the girl to the dance you don't get to dance." Your questions and concerns will play out over time. You are not the first one that has gone done this road. Have faith in the process.

As a 2016 that has not been courted hard as of yet I would be exploring as many college options as possible. I would focus on raising your ACT a few points and make sure that you have taken all the requisite classes that you will need for entrance to most universities.

You did not share what you wanted to study in college. I would start focusing on what kind of college experience that you want. I know baseball is important; but a bigger part of your college experience goes beyond the baseball field.

I would not gage your recruiting experience from kids on your various teams. I would also take what they have said about their offers with a BIG grain of salt. Focus on what you can do to improve as a person, student and as a baseball player.

Work the process and have faith. At the same time, I would develop a back-up plan which you control versus what others may offer.

•  Do I come right out and ask how I rank as a pitching prospect?  

       After you develop some rapport with the Coach you visit, you may feel comfortable asking how you rank on their depth chart.  If you get an offer, that will tell you!

• Do I ask about any scholarship $ or do I wait for them to bring it up?

      Wait for them to bring it up.

• Do I counter offer them on the spot or call them later. For example if I'm offered a % athletic\academic scholarship of 75% can I ask for 90%?

      Wait.  Several days.  If you don't have other offers, I wouldn't counter offer.  If you get an offer for 75% that is more than good.  90% is for the very elite or possible draft picks.  Don't believe what you hear from your  friends about 100%.  Is that tuition only?  Combined with academic money?  There are only 11.7 scholarships to pass out if the school is "fully funded", so 75-100% is rare except for the truly gifted player.  Many times "Aunt Molly"  will tell everyone her nephew is getting a full ride because she hears "scholarship" and thinks "full ride"....which in baseball it is not.

• Do I ask for a guaranteed spot on the roster or is this to arrogant?

      If you get a scholarship offer (money), that is basically assuring you a roster spot (unless you don't stay eligible grade wise or screw up).  If they don't offer you money, or say something like "preferred walk on"....ask for them to clarify exactly what they mean.

• When asked about other schools or offers do I tell them everything or hold back some information?

      Sometimes on the recruiting questionnaires there will be a question about this.  Be honest.  You can say something on the order of "I have been contacted by several schools, and have a visit with another school planned in 2 weeks."  That shows the coach there is interest in you!  If he asks what schools, be honest.  Many times they are looking to find out if the schools are in the same conference.

I agree with ILVBB about being patient with the process, but you're probably excited about the visit so I'll give you my opinion on your questions.

Have you been contacting schools and promoting yourself as much as your teammates? Have your coaches? Most recruiting starts with the player expressing an interest in the school.

Like ILVBB says, take what you hear from/about other kids with a grain of salt. For example, some guys say 100% scholarships when they actually are getting 100% tuition, which is more like a 50% scholarship.

If you're contacting schools that would be a good fit for you, then yes, you should get more interest. I would not expect much more DI interest at this point, because most of their scholarship money has been allocated.

My advice is to start thinking about which Plan B works better for you, DII, DIII or JuCo. Today. Those types of schools are actively recruiting for 2016s right now. Your LHP velo should get attention at those levels.

Sure, you can ask where they see you fitting in as a prospect.

You can ask, but honestly this late in the process if they don't bring it up, they probably aren't that interested in offering you a scholarship.

If you want to attend this school, I wouldn't try negotiating. You're running out of time and options.

No one gets a guaranteed roster spot. If they offer you a scholarship, then you should be able to earn a roster spot. If not, you can ask what you would have to do to earn a spot.

I would be honest when asked about other schools. They already know that you're running out of time, so they have the advantage.

Sounds more like a try out. 

Were these offers to your friends academic or athletic or combined. Not too many get a full 100% ride on just baseball money. An RHP hitting 89-90 is not average.

High school stats do not get you a scholarship, college coaches seldom use those stats unless you do pitch against the top HS in your state and wipe them out.

I am not trying to be negative, just not sure of the info you have provided.
