I just wanted to let everyone know that we have been contacted by a Major League team( cant mention) and they want to offer us a contract. I've called my Lawyer and he is in the process of drawing up some criterias we want addressed before we ink the deal. We are so happy we cant stand it . Who else has went through this process? My Son is already talking about buying Cars and other things, I've never seen him so excited. What do Mom and I do to settle him down? Well in a few days I will let you all know who we are with. I cant sleep I'm so happy. Please give me any feedback to help us out . Thanks Clay

I've seen quite a few 13's who've been contacted by pro teams. Back in the day my son played a few tourneys with a 12 yr old who had already been wooed by no less than FIVE MAJOR LEAGUE ball teams. It's fairly common for them to get the can't miss blue chips locked in early, The 12 yr old was throwin serious gas!(89) Congrats! Just make sure his mechanics are good or you could be lookin at a tommy john, I know we've got a few experts who could help ya on that one. cleverman

Is it J or Clay??????

This is really poor judgement on your part to deceive this board by making up mock case scenarios in order to evoke responses.

My time is valuable as well as others here and can't speak for the others but don't appreciate someone coming into this site and playing these childish games.....my2cents pal

Oh well, I thought it sounded like some april fools joke and posted some crazy stuff. I started to feel bad when everyone was all serious . My son did play with a boy whose parents claimed that a number of major league teams were speaking to them and were interested in their son.(sure!) They even named all the teams that supposedly were talking to them. But he was actually in the 72-75 range at 12. But then as a senior in high school he was still the same ht and probably wasn't breaking 80.

I've read some of your posts and for the most part you seem to have a good handle on things. Unfortunatley comedy isn't one of them.Relax have a chuckle. As far as my son is concerned, he couldn't hit his way out of a paper bag. His avg and his weight run a close battle every year. I think his weight is off to a good start this Season.
