Deemax - We are also in your area and know what you mean by mound lockdown....

We have one very similar to the one you made except ours folds in half and stands up so it can be wheeled around from the garage to the front of the house. We found a guy through DBAT to make ours and we paid about $375 for it about 8 or so years ago....

Nice job building yours, you will enjoy it ...... when we meet neighbors that we don't know at block parties and they ask where we live...they say, "Oh, your the ones that pitch in the front of your house."

Also, we measured the pitching distance on the front sidewalk and used spray paint to "mark" the distance so we know where to place the mound and home plate so we have an accurate distance each time.

I am always worried we are going to plunk a parked car on the street...so far there have been no injuries .... now that cheapseats son is U17 we have to be pretty careful to watch for cars and pedestrians to make sure we don't hit anyone on a passed ball.

Enjoy your mound, I bet bbscout is smiling from above watching ya'll use it!
