Some of you may have read my other review in the Strength and Conditioning forum for Jon's Unbreakable Abs program, if not I suggest you take a look. Besides that little intro, and what I'm about to say, I won't mention UA inside this review ever again. After using UA for about a month, the results I have earned are truly rediculous. I can sit on pitches for longer periods of time and still hit the ball, which has helped me judge what is being thrown at me, and also in taking pitches the other way on the outside part of the plate. I felt so good about what Jon had presented in his program, that I decided to invest in Million Dollar Hitter for this offseason before I begin to play varsity baseball. I might not post again in this topic for about a week, but that is because I will be looking over the DVDs, the bonus CD, and the book very carefully before I begin, and using this websites PM system, to contact Jon, a very under rated feature. I expect nothing but the best based on prior experience with Jon's products, but regardless of that I will be giving a non-biased review telling nothing but the way I see things and if I am making progress with this program. I will begin to follow this program to a T in the next two weeks.

I just got done reading and watching everything, and I will most likely be ready to go by next week, but I'm definitely shooting for tomorrow. I now realize why when people ask that those who have ordered the program don't go into too much or any detail because someone could very easily give away 15-20% of the program in a simple lapse in judgement by typing or saying something they were not supposed to.
Tonight I started to do the first very basic drill with my brother who is 12. So far we both suck, and our baseball specific vision is rediculously terrible based on this first test. I say baseball specific because my eyesight is 20/15 without glasses and his is 20/20 with glasses. We will continue with this drill tomorrow. I will begin hitting consistently on Friday at 5:30 in the morning. I can't wait.
I haven't had a chance to do much because all of our schools gyms and indoor facilities are booked for fall and winter sports. This is really making me mad as I would like to perform the program on a consistent basis to give an honest review, but that's not an option right now. I might end up staking my claim at a 5 to 6 AM block of time in one of the gyms every morning.

I decided my brother wasn't able to really begin the program yet because his swing has so many mechanical flaws that there are more important things that need to be done right now for him.
There are two DVDs, I'm unsure of the length off the top of my head, but I sat down and watched them multiple times in one night before beginning the program. There are about 15-20 drills, all of which are very easy to learn. Chances are, you have done 75-90% of these before. If you have enough of the necessary equipment (you probably do), then using these drills or the entire program in a team environment shouldn't be a problem, however when I do the drills it is almost always with only one partner.
I've been doing the drills for 3-4 days a week in the short days that are left. I now have the ability to focus in on the ball and say to myself that I need to hit the middle or top half of the ball and my vision allows me to do so with near pinpoint accuracy. I'm also learning how to hit the outside pitches much better. I have finally completed week 1.
Now that the season is winding down I have more time to practice like I used to, so I will again begin to do the Million Dollar Hitter program, but this time I will be able to use consistency. My goals are by the end of the 12 weeks to have earlier recognition of off speed pitches, especially changeups and sliders, I have started to hit curveballs better with more practice. When using the batting cage in my backyard I was able to get the Jugs machine up to 92 MPH before I lost the ability to turn on pitches consistently, but I think that is more of a power issue than a vision problem.
I just wrote as how I felt it. I have found it easier this year to hit pitches that go faster because I can get around on them faster, I wasn't really thinking about all the other factors that could have improved over the course of the year.

As for the review, today I was pretty sore when I hit in the cage and my swing was pretty slow because I was still tired. I'm going to rest for today and tonight so I will be ready to go for our playoff game tomorrow. I would call consistency for this program 5-6 days a week, which does not include live hitting, added cage work, and live hitting.

If you are getting blisters and they are that bad you need a properly fitting glove.

This is no difference in your finger rubbing on the inside of the glove than your bare finger rubbing on the grip. Gloves sounds too loose.

All practice swings should be of the highest quality. Once the quality goes out the window continuing to swing will only cause harm to your swing mechanics.
I have always got blisters, my skin is very soft and without batting gloves I have always had problems. I had my gloves today though and nothing happened. I think someone interpreted what I said incorrectly though, I have never got blisters on my hands when I wear batting gloves unless the material is wearing thin, it always happens when my bare hands are rubbing on the grip.

I hit again today, the blisters stopped and I'm not having any more problems with that, however I have found that even though the quality of my swings increased this time, I have an issue with "topping" the ball. That is going to be a goal of mine to fix in the next few weeks.
I haven't posted here in a while, but I had my first summer game today, and after getting about 10 ABs for school I really impressed a few today. I went 3/5 in a double header with (in order) BB, 3B, G5, 3B, 1B, and K. I had 3 RBIs and 3 runs with a SB off a left handed hitter, something I have never done before. I feel very good about my performance today and I will certainly keep doing the drills. I have slowed down a little due to finals week but I will be going 120% this summer.
Had a game two days ago. BB, 1B, G6, F5. The strike zone varied so much that I was forced to swing at pitches out of my comfort zone. It was especially hard because pitches that I was seeing clearly and identifying as balls ended up being strikes and I was kind of forced to swing at things that I didn't want to. As for the effects of the program, I am making more solid contact with off speed pitches and I can identify balls and strikes much quicker.
Went 1/4 with a line out, reached on an error, a bases loaded ground rule double, and a high pop fly to the shortstop. I was extremely mad about the pop fly, but with all the other hits, even though I hit it right at someone most of the time I hit the ball hard on the ground which is something I really never did before, I used to be the king of lazy ground balls. I am feeling very good and I can't wait to get in the drills again after my last final on Tuesday.
Practiced today for the first time in a while and I did surprisingly well. I'm going to start doing more of the drills that focus on hitting offspeed pitches as now that I have been able to get hits and put the ball in play consistently, now I want to be able to hit a breaking pitch with power. Before I got hurt I raised my batting average to around .480 in my summer league, but now it looks as if I will miss a weeks worth of games so I should be ending right around there.
When I was following the UA program (school tole me I can't go in the weight room, not a fall athlete, more BS) it worked very well and I noticed that I was hitting further and I was also running faster, which is also when I ran my best 60 at 6.8 seconds. As for the equipment, for UA, your HS weight room should have everything. For MDH, if you own a tee, and you have something to hit into like a tarp or a net, you should be good.
My season is over due to injury, but I led them team in batting average and RBIs even without playing in 5 games. This team had a few all county selections and all area selections, so this was no push over of a team. However, that's not what this post is about.

Recently I have received a few PMs from more than a few players asking things like, is the program worth it, or what is the $3 piece of equipment that makes it all work. I can simply answer right here that I definitely think the program is worth it and would absolutely give it a 10/10. I am not a "foot soldier", if you will, for Jon. I have nothing to hide and I believe that this is the best thing I have ever done to improve my hitting. Along with that, I am self motivated, so instead of sitting on the couch eating cheesy poofs or weight gainer 40000 for hours at a time, I go out and I make a conscience effort to dedicate a good hour and a half to hitting balls off the tee or out of the machine regardless of what mother nature throws at me. You have to want to sweat a little to get success out of this, there is no button clicking or chart reading, but there is a lot of hitting. If you do not have the time for that then please do not order the program and then end up bashing the quality of Jon's work. But if you can take a good hour to an hour and a half of your time every other day as I did, then you will see results, as I did. No one else on here is going to watch you do it, so no one will ever prove that you tried or not when you write a review, if you choose to. I don't think I need to go through anymore motivation garbage because the theme is the same. Only you will know if you did the work, and if you did, this program ensures your results will be better than any teammate of yours who wings it on the tee, in the cage, or anyone else following any other organized program for that matter.
