what do you guys think of my swing? incase you were wondering this hit was a line drive over the third basemens head but i hit it off the end of the bat. i almost missed first base to so i look kinda stupid there, just dont pay attention to that. any comments and suggestions would be appriciated.

What's your batting average this year? What part of your game do you want to improve in?

my batting average this year was .340. 17 hits in 50 at bats. one thing i want to work on a lot is my switch hitting. im a natural righty but can hit lefty. when i bat right handed i can hit the good pitchers but i cant hit the bad pitchers and when im left handed i can hit the bad pitchers but not the good ones. i just want to get it so i can hit all pitchers good.

What grade are you going to be in next year? Practice, practice, practice! That's how you get better. I suggest buying John Cohen's DVD on hitting. It has 40 drills that you can do to help you from both sides of the plate. Go to the University of Kentucky's website to get the DVD.

Im not sure why you giving me that because i did not say to not work on mechanics... im just saying that pitching at that level does not require bat speed, and ill bet you 50 bucks that only 1-2 kids on his team have hit over the fence homeruns.

Perhaps more kids would be able to hit it over the fence if they worked on those mechanics that you say kids need not be concerned with at such stage.Big Grin



But most kids even with perfect mechanics don't have the size to hit it that far. But i see your point and im sure you see mine, and so therefore the debate will continue on the same things. But i understand your point
