Hello, I'm a sophomore in high school and I'm looking for some help with my swing. I just finished my summer season and it will be a month or two before I start playing baseball again. At the end of the season I felt good about my swing and the contact I was getting but I was missing power that I felt I had, or could get. I have been looking over the mechanics on rotational hitting and noticed I was squashing the bug and not hitting on a stiff front knee. Can anyone give me any drills to fix this?

I will be posting a video of my swing tomomrow, but I was just wondering if taking dry cuts were fine for anaylsis? Thanks for all your help.
Always getting better.

Dry cuts are often useless for analysis because you can do whatever you want to. Hitting a ball off a tee or soft toss is much better for analysis.

To fix squashing the bug, put a helmet behind your rear foot (about 2-4 inches). If you squash the bug, you will hit the helmet. Lack of front knee firmness can mean a lot of things. I need to see the video to help you with that.

I sent you a PM.
