I'm not sure what your question is. A transfer is a student who was enrolled at one college and then later enrolled at a different college. Transfers to a D1 school from 4 year school generally must be in residence at the D1 for 1 year before being eligible to compete in baseball.

But perhaps you meant a HS student signs with NAIA school, and then before enrolling at the NAIA school, decides to enroll at a D1. He would not have to sit out a year, because there are no cross-agreements between the NAIA and the NCAA.

I would not expect the NAIA coach to be pleased in either scenario. But it does happen.
