The most important position on the field is Quarterback. Texas has a great one and Alabama has a good one. I believe Alabama has a great running game but I am going with Colt McCoy and the Longhorns. I believe he will have a fine future in the NFL.

And when was the last time an SEC school lost the title game? Think it was Florida vs Nebraska about a dozen+ years ago. SEC doesn't lose too often when they have a title shot.

Final year at Rosenblatt Stadium too. The new stadium looks to be very nice, but it won't have Rosenblatt's charm and proximity to the zoo and malts between games!

Although Bama has come on in recent years, I think the tradition, experience, and pitching depth Texas will prevail. I say Auggie and the Longhorns get it done, but it might last all 3 games.

Oh ... you mean football? Haven't a clue. but since I sat through the SEC Championship in a bar in Gainesville, FL with 3 'Bama fans, and lived to tell about it ... I have to go with Bama.

As Andy Dufrain said in Shawshank Redemption, "hope is a good thing, perhaps the best of things" and I'm hoping for a Texas trifecta...NCAA titles in football, basketball and baseball this year. Never been done before.

A distant relative played baseball for Alabama and set a few records there so I'll go with Alabama.

It will be over by half time. Alabama defense is going to take no prisoners on Texas offense. I have to go to Austin next week on business, and I'm going to hear a lot of excuses from my co-workers as I always do when they lose. I can't wait.
