Anyone heard of this organization and see any value in them?  My son was invited to thier "Pro Combine" workout after a combine at a recent toutrnament,  It says he is going to work one on one with a pro player of at least 10 years major league experience at his position, and then you are supposed to play games, get full eval, video, letter of recommendation, and your info sent to schools matching your playing level abilities.  Just wondering if its a waste of time or not.  Its hard to know with so many folks after your $ in this business.  Also recived invite fro ma seemingly related entity for "Combat All America games"

I appreciate any feedback

There are many folks out there trying to make a buck. Your BEST option for having your son fairly evaluated, imo, would be to attend a PG event. Perfect Game has been around many years & has an excellent reputation for finding & evaluating talent, an excellent relationship with many College Recruiters at all levels, and pro scouts. They're hosting 2 Showcase Tourneys at Craig Ranch, McKinney on Aug 9-11, Underclass & Top Prospect. PgStaff is a regular contributor here on hsbbweb. Suggest you pm or call him.

Once you are on there radar, doors should open!

btw, what happened with metro scout league? Did you call Cade? DBat teams regularly attend PG events/WWBA events.

Sir...what ever happened with the offer from National Collegiate Connections? Is your son playing with this group and what details and fees were you told to pay for his participation? My nephew was contacted this morning and told he has been chosen to join this organization, playing baseball. I would love this to be legit for my nephew's sake but honestly,it sounds too good to be true. I contacted the local rep for (FCA) Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He responded that he is not familiar with this organization. I have also contacted the MLB organization about this organization and the rep for NCC, Kevin Kennedy and am awaiting word. Any information you could provide would be appreciated....

We chose not attend.  Other opportunities came up that seemed to be a little more known and trustworthy.  My observation over the past few months is that there are a lot of operations out there putting on "showcase" "workouts" etc. with the promise of working with pro players, college scouts, and promises to provide your info to colleges, recommendatin lettes etc.

What I am findng is most of these are oversold as a value that doesnt really provide the advertised value in the end.  Yes, you may get some good advice or instruction at these, but if you are lookingfor eposure, I would look alsewhere.  Most of these are full of Juco coaches going though the motions looking for maybe a couple studs, who likely are more than Juco level talent anyway.  In short, money makers for the most part.  A lot of the connections folks have dont seem to materialize or get you anywhere when it comes time to ask for help getting known.

I would suggest if your kid is really talented, get them on a gtood travel team and play in Perfect game or other reputable organized tournaments where there is good regular scout exposure, and an honest assessment from their staff.
