Oh boy! Now you've done it, Coach May! I'll be thinking about you next year in August when it's 95 with humidity and 7 hurricanes on the way there and its 86 and pleasant here, buddy boy! Big Grin

I went to get ice from the fridge door and I got pounded on my big toe. I guess it is winter.
82 and sunny and expected to be like this till May.
Bum, what do you call a 100 mph wind and rain storm on the pacific northwest coast. Apparently Not a hurricane.
How about an new england nor'easter.
No names for those either.
Prayers for all those ice covered folks in the plains states.
Coachric, you got me on that one but actually I'm in Eastern Washington on the Idaho border. On this side of the mountains we actually get very little rain and only rarely a windstorm. Cooler in the Winter, yes, but sunnier and drier overall. In fact, look it up, Orlando gets 4x as much rain as Spokane! Hee Haw!

(..and Vegas is closer.) Wink

Bum, your area is one I want to rv to in the near future. I hear its quite beautiful. On the good with the bad note, we do get rain, but generally it all comes in a 4 month period. We've had winters here with no rain for 7 months. Though it gets dry on the ground, can't beat the weather.
There is something magical about winter that I remember when I lived in new england, it was the dream of looking out the window on a winter day in orlando at the golf course in 80 degree weather.
I love the snow in postcards.
Coachric.. I hope you can RV up in the Northwest. You'd have a blast. Used to live in Key West many moons ago, so Florida is familiar. I had a Bug Volkswagen that actually floated away during one storm. That was cool.

When you get the rig fired up, here's some "must do" NW spots you might have never heard of:

*Glacier National Park and Whitefish, MT. Go soon, it's melting.
*Hoh National Rain Forest. Eerie and one-of-a-kind.
*Hurricane Ridge at Olympic National Park. Wow!
*Banks Lake near Grand Coulee. RVing paradise in the desert!
*Winthrop. Western-theme town in a gorgeous area.
*Stehekin on Lake Chelan. Look this one up on a map for fun! There are no roads to the town and the only way to get there is on a 4-hour ferry boat ride. Chelan hot vacation spot.

Hope you have fun!
