When did the NCAA publish the dates of the quiet periods for this fall?
Seems there is a conflict with an event my son was supposed to attend.

Don't worry too much. There are "eyes" there from many sources for the coaches. If it's in a quiet period, it can still be effective.

11/06/2006-11/09/2006: Dead Period
11/10/2006, through 02/28/2007, Quiet
except 01/04/2007- 01/08/2007, Dead
03/01/2007 - 08/31/2007, Contact/Evaluation
Except 04/09/2007 - 04/12/2007: Dead Period
