Does anybody know when they published the dates for the quiet periods for this fall?

Was told there's one coming up: Sept 1-14.
Should we implement such a period of.....quiet?

Here's the deal, my son was supposed to attend an event Sept 9-10, now it's being moved to the 16th-17th because of the quiet period.
Well, plane tickets have been purchased....and I'm trying to figure out when the NCAA published the dates for the Quiet period to figure whether the NCAA published these just recently or did they publish them before this event was scheduled.

Have you tried looking at the file (probably the .pdf) to determine what date it was last modified? That might be one way.
The other way is to ask the NCAA.
I doubt the calendar was recently released, but don't know for sure.

Doug, the quiet period for fall sports has always been the first two weeks of September.

The quiet period was extended from the first week of September to the first two weeks of Sept. this fall. It has been only the first week of September for at least six years.

Could someone please explain the difference between a "quiet period" and a "dead period"?
Taken straight from NCAA.org website. Recruiting FAQ's:
Contact period - permissible for authorized athletic department staff members to make in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts and evaluations.
Dead period - not permissible to make in-person recruiting contacts or evaluations on- or off-campus or permit official or unofficial visits.
Evaluation period - permissible for authorized athletics department staff to be involved in off-campus activities to assess academic qualifications and playing abililties. No in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts with a prospect are permitted.
Quiet period - permissible to make in-person recruiting contacts only on the member institution's campus.
