If you haven't I highly recommend "Senior Year" by Dan Shaughnessy. 1Bson read it, and spent most of his time telling me how much it sounded like us. I started reading it and made it through one chapter, and said...."HEY, I gotta share this with the High School Baseball Web community"

Gotta go back to reading...stuck between smiling, crying and just shaking my head. Boy does this all sound familiar!!

Senior Year is Outstanding. Dan Shaughnessy could have been writing about any of us and our experiences.

Another book to read is Fathers & Sons & Sports. It's published by ESPN and has a great introduction by Mike Lupica. It's a compilation of stories from famous writers and personalities on their experiences with their fathers and sports. Lot's of baseball stuff that is really good.
Another excellent father/son book is "Raising Cole" by Mark Pittman

It is the story of Cole Pittman, a University of Texas football player that was killed in a car wreck, written by his father.

It is moving with lots of great messages along the way....It will challenge you as a parent to want to have a solid relationship with your son.

All 20 reviews on amazon give it 5 stars!
