It's not really something wrong with timing. It's something wrong with your swing. MLB hitters keep stretching until their hands tell them to "GO!" They don't load then swing; they swing to load. When you launch it rearward, you get a huge advantage. When you keep stretching, you can hit any ball with power.

Somewhere along the way, you built a swing that pushes the hands to contact. This is not rare at all; I'd say 99% of all players push. What you need to do is slowly replace your current swing with one that whips the barrel. You will get worse before you get better, but it IS possible.

No I usually hit the ball up the middle or take it the other way. If it is an outside pitch I will try to take it the other way.

Low finish I have been taught to take your hands to the ball and fire your hips to generate torque. What should I do to hit the slow pitch.

DO NOT take your hands to the ball. Swing the barrel around the hands. Do this with the hands: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KurJhNb38X0

The torso will turn the hands to contact.

Thanks low finish I will work on it and update you how I do hitting

La dad I crushed the ball this week.I went 8 for 13 the whole tournament.Championship game they shifted their infield on me bringing the 2nd baseman in shallow right and moving 3rd to short. They intentionally walked me when I could have hit a walk off hit in the championship. Its okay the next guy hit a walk off.Still I was a little ticked I didn't get the chance to win it.We still got the win and shiny trophy.I think it was just a confidence that was holding me back.
