What's so funny?

I think this is one of the things we were talking about, there is a whole world wide internet out there and anyone can come up with answers in seconds to any question.

I try real hard to help give info, but I also am a firm beleiver in finding out some things on your own. Why didn't you direct the OP to a site?

I am surprised FF, I have spent much time answering many questions for you.
Maybe it's my habit of always assuming the best of people, but I'm assuming the OP wanted our advice on showcases *worth* attending in his area. His reference to PG makes me think this. If he found this website, it's obvious he can maneuver around the Internet and do a simple search. There are lots of showcases not worth attending out there.

Anderson, are you looking for some insider information on which showcases and camps near St. Louis are worth going to/inline with Perfect Games? Have you tried posting this question in the Midwest Forum? That might give you more specific info to your area.

Anderson,

I'm not sure about specific showcases but, you live in a very strong baseball area. There are several very good programs in the St Louis area.

A couple of the top programs are run by Rick Strickland (St Louis Pirates) and Jerry Daniels (Rawlings teams) and there are others. I think they both might have tryouts and showcase events.

BTW, PG is located in Iowa (4 hour drive from St Louis) If money is a serious problem, I suggest you look at some MLB tryouts (free) around your area.

You can call our office for more information, it would be in your best interest to be in the database. You don't have to attend a PG event, or pay anything, to get that done and it's possible it might help you.

Best of luck
Hey TPM! Really nothing ill intended here at all! I understand exactly where you were coming from and to a great extent agree, and value your contributions on here, via PM and Facebook greatly!

I just thought it so ironic after the thread that was just shut down...you know...oh well, never mind.

I sure did not mean to offend!

Agreed. I'm sure TPM doesn't mean it this way, but I remember being a newer member and feeling belittled by an extremely similar comment.

You're right, she didn't mean it the way some of you took it.

And all of us who have been here any length of time feel belittled by others' comments from time to time. Sometimes for good reason, many times not.

She just said 'google it,' said she was too tired to do it herself (as it does take some reading after you get the results) and gave a suggested phrase to 'google.' Don't read so much into it. It was simple and non-offenisve.

This is a totally different situation with the OP than the other thread that got some of you so worked up.

It wasn't meant to belittle anyone, I googled and a lot of stuff came up and I really meant that I was tired, so I made a suggestion as to what to google. TY JBB.

I find it pretty humorous that there were just as many comments directed towards my post than the OP's question. Why not just help the young man out instead of worrying what I posted.

I just don't get it.

Thank you

Hey OP,

PG certainly a top notch way to go. If you want to dip your toes in lightly first you might look for a local Top96 event. Or college camps that host several colleges but don't spend more than say 300.
