Downsouth,

I think your question is kinda a tall order, as you know there are lots and lots of schools in this great state in the DII and DIII NCAA catagory (let alone JUCO/NAIA). I think you might get more help/responses if you offer up a personal top 5 or 10 and ask for input and then ask for either a response on this thread or via PM (some folks might want to just PM this info. as it can be very personal).

Another approach might be if post your own wish list like this:

"My son is interested in a Texas DII school (or insert DIII school/remember to add NCAA/JUCO or NAIA) for baseball. His academic interest is in the field of (fill in the blank), he is looking for a school that is within (blank)amount of miles from home is (blank) in price, is (blank) in size (enrollment) and has a baseball program that is (fill in whatever best suits your son's needs/and where he will benefit a program), what is the baseball programs history, what is their program like, what personal experiences have you had with the program, what is the field/training facility like, what can you tell me about the current coach (heaven knows these can change),do you know anything about their recruitement programs, what is the retention rate of the players and what is their graduation rate of their players.

Then ask for responses either via this thread, through a PM and if your willing through your email..

With something like the above you might just see that the responses will come pouring in as this community has a wealth of info and they are willing to share they might just need more info.....

Good Luck........

West Texas A & M is finally awakening. Went from a doormat to one of the top D-2 football programs in the country in a year. That rising tide seems to be lifting the rest of the boats. That said, despite huge new revenues rolling in from the football program, baseball scholarship help is still quite limited, a disadvantage in a 9 scholarship league.

Below are some generic links for you that you might/or might not already have.

GOOD LUCK in your search/recruitment process and remember the members of this forum can and are always willing to offer you some great information from personal firsthand/experiences. When gathering information always remember, every player is different, every experience is different based on the players experience and of course most importantly college coaches do tend to move around so make sure you look for a school as
" YOUR fit" basing it on academics/baseball/and of course social:

Listing of Texas Colleges and Universities

Virtual Campus Tours

College baseball insider

Collegiate Baseball News

National listing of Juco's by sport/division

Ditto on ASU from what I have read and from what ASURamFan has told me. Two year old program that finished first in their conference this year. And of course I like the name (ASU, just different state).

(And I sent you a email already, hope you got it and have a great showcase on Tuesday)
