Nothing wrong with just telling school A that yes, I plan on visiting a school in your region in the date range of X and would be interested in working out a visit to Your U in that time frame as well.

Then, of course, he should share specifics regarding what his interest is in their school.

Nothing wrong with letting them know that you have other interest from schools.  Typically, a school will feel better knowing other schools are recruiting the same player.  

Of course it's ok, especially considering the distance.  You can say it either way...."We will be in your area".....or just go ahead and say "Yes, we're visiting college "B"  If they are at the same level, the RC from A will know that he's not the only one looking at your son, and in some cases that may help with an offer.   Whatever gets you  in front of the coaches is always a good thing

answer all questions truthfully, that way you don't have to remember your answer a year later

Are both schools at the same level and-or in the same conference?    If they are, definitely ok to mention the other school.

Son and I decided before his first visit we would answer the following 3 questions to anybody (from HC/AC to friends to anonymous chat boarders).

visit? - yes

offer? - yes

accept? - no

how much? - that’s private
