Hello All,

My 2019 Son received an e-mail from a College "A" recruiting coordinator that recently saw him play. College "A" is airplane ride away.  College "A" recruiting coordinator complimented 2019 on ability, requested schedule, and then asked if he would be making "any upcoming visits to other schools in the area."

The question threw me off a bit and I am not sure what advice to relay to my son. The thing is, we may indeed be visiting College "B" in the next several weeks...College "B" has had serious contact with my son (text and phone calls) since Sept 1.

No offers on table and probably none forthcoming at the moment. However, is it appropriate to answer straight and say "Yes - as a matter of fact, I am planning on visiting College "B" in the next several weeks."

Son is very high on both schools. Probably 1 and 1A on his list at the moment.

Thanks for your help.

Wow, stars are aligning - interest from his two preferred schools!

Nothing wrong with just telling school A that yes, I plan on visiting a school in your region in the date range of X and would be interested in working out a visit to Your U in that time frame as well.

Then, of course, he should share specifics regarding what his interest is in their school.

Of course it's ok, especially considering the distance.  You can say it either way...."We will be in your area".....or just go ahead and say "Yes, we're visiting college "B"  If they are at the same level, the RC from A will know that he's not the only one looking at your son, and in some cases that may help with an offer.   Whatever gets you  in front of the coaches is always a good thing
