I would reccomend lots and lots of throwing- build up the stamina and strength to throw and condition the arm to have good memory. It would not surprise me one bit to see you back here in 6 months telling everyone you gained an easy 10-12 mph in velocity or even higher.

I would however check the gun you are using, sometimes they can give weird numbers. Last year in a tournament they had a fast pitch contest and my son and another (13 year olds) tied for the hardest at 68 mph, A day before that in a game these same kids were clocked on a different gun throwing almost 10 mph harder. Come to find out, the gun used in the contest was only accurate up to like 30 feet away and the guy was like almost a 100 feet away using this particular gun.

I may be way wrong here but I am guessing that even in Canada they throw pretty close tot he same velocity as they do here where I live in Idaho. The average 17-18 year old pitcher in my neck of the woods throws around 80-82 mph. No varsity pitcher I have seen around here throws 65-ish- that is way slow.

Check the gun or something.
