If you want to see nets, check out University of Tampa. They (we) call the field "The Birdcage". The entire field in enclosed about 100' high. Last year with the old bats, quite a few HR's left the field and landed on rooftops of nearby buildings.
My cusin pitching for a D3 school batter hits a foul, Foulball is a line drive hit his sitter ( age 12) breaks his sitter Jaw . A Net placed in the right place may of stop this But we don't need nets all over just in high ball travel areas that has fans sitting.
You have to stop the line drives before they seriously hurt the fans. I would extend the netting at least to the outfield line.
Did anyone hear the news about Luis Salazar, braves minor league manager this week? That is a disturbing accident that should be prevented from happening to fans if at all possible.
Florida fan , my kid's teams have played quite a few times at UT and the nets are helpful but you still gotta keep your eyes open for balls rolling off the net around home plate . Seen a couple of people get hit after a foul ball rolls off and drops . Nice field there though .
